Rebecca Adlington photo shoot...

on .

A week of Education, Education, Education... with bit of cider thrown in !

I photographed a really good Educational speaker at an awards ceremony in south glos last night. He had the room 300 students and speaker completely rapt in his message and we all felt inspired and more confident after his talk.

If you need a motivational speaker I can highly recommend him. He is also the cousin of Ant from Ant and dec which the pupils and parents ( actually, mainly parents ) were very impressed by this.

The day before I was working at Redmaids Girls school in Bristol photographing guest speaker Rebecca Adlington. Wow, it was great to meet an Olympic gold medalist,  somebody so committed to their sport with a focused quest to be the best. Now retired from Competitive sport but still swims 2-3 times per week and runs here own Swimming Club. The Pupils responded well to her visit eager to ask lots of questions about training programme and experiences of completing in the olympics , though a few couldn’t resist asking a few questions about her time in I’m a celebrity !, Apparently Kian from Westlife was her favourite , it’s important to know this ?

Amonst other shoots I rounded off the week in the company of John Thatcher from Thatchers Cider. I needed to record new audio to add to my Thatchers Documentary (long version). I wanted to record him in an atmospheric location so I took him down to the collections orchard. This time of year of course the orchards are looking rather bare, but if you look closely at the branches the buds are already showing, ready to open during the next few weeks. John is always great company and and I managed to gather a few extra tips on my favourite hobby, making Cider !
