Glastonbury Festival and Royal Visits this Summer...

I’m back from Holidays now after escaping the usual British August holiday weather, and spent a week toasting on a beach in Spain with the family.

Above is a small pictorial round up of an interesting summer in the varied and wonderful world of PR and Editorial Photography, in Bristol and the South West.

Local hero’s, Thatchers Cider have had a bumper summer, not only with sales, but in getting involved a number exciting events, which as in turn, kept me busy with Royal Visits and at a fun but mud splattered Glastonbury Festival, where I was shooting stills and Film for them. See the short film above for a flavour of the weekend.

Sophie, The Countess of Wessex has a good eye for a press, PR photograph and happily climbed into a Thatchers Lorry (well branded) to make a wonderful and press friendly image which Thatchers marketing dept was very happy with, and like wise, Prince Edward  happily had a go on the apple press.

Before my holidays I photographed the annual A level results day.  It’s always an interesting morning and usually churns up some wonderful stories. Top of my list was a student from Weston University Campus called Hollie Morgan, who perform top in the whole college. Hollie is partially sighted, and has sensitivity to light, but with her top grades means is now heading to Bristol University to study Molecular Medicine.

I’ve included a few images from my general PR and Business shoots. It’s always my job to inject abit of life and energy into the stories, and hopefully I’ve managed to do this, I certainly enjoyed doing the shoots.
